Deep Tissue Massage
During a deep tissue massage, the therapist will use their hands, fingers, forearms, and elbows to apply intense pressure to the muscles, tendons, and fascia. This pressure can sometimes be uncomfortable, but it should not be painful. The therapist may also use stretching and other techniques to help release tension and improve mobility.
Deep tissue massage can be especially helpful for people with chronic pain, injury or postural problems. It can also be used to alleviate stress and anxiety, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
