What Is the Vortex Somatic Compass?

The Vortex Somatic Compass™ is a proprietary framework developed by Laura Cristina Genao that maps the body's energy across five directions of experience. It's not a personality type. It's not a diagnosis. It's a real-time orientation — a way of reading what your body is holding right now and what it's ready to move toward.

Most people are stuck because they're working on the wrong layer. This compass helps you find the right entry point — so instead of pushing harder, you start moving with your own current.

Where Does Your Compass Point?

Each direction corresponds to a layer of somatic experience. The quiz reveals which is most alive in you right now.

North · Connect
Air · Mind · Relationship

The North is the direction of the mind — wisdom, discernment, and clear seeing. If you land here, your body is calling for connection: with others, with community, or with the parts of yourself that have gone quiet.

East · Shine
Fire · Dawn · New Beginnings

The East is where the sun rises — the direction of emergence, visibility, and new cycles. If you land here, something in you is ready to be seen. A part of you that dimmed down is asking to come forward again.

South · Nourish
Earth · Root · Replenishment

The South is the direction of warmth and foundation. If you land here, your body is depleted and asking for safety, rest, and deep replenishment. This is the ground everything else grows from.

West · Release
Water · Sunset · Renewal

The West is the direction of sunset — the closing of a cycle and the beginning of renewal. If you land here, something is ready to be completed. This is the place of grounding through letting go.

Answer a short set of somatic-based questions. The quiz reads where your body's energy is concentrated right now — not who you are forever.

Receive Your Direction

You'll be matched with one of the four compass directions — North, East, South, or West — along with a personalized email from Laura explaining what that direction means for you right now.

Choose One Practice. Do It for 10 Days.

You'll receive three simple options designed for your direction. Choose one. Practice it every single day for 10 days. At the end of each day, gently notice what shifts.
